Abstract:

In recent years, the scaffolding language has become essential for obtaining Yang--Mills amplitudes from stringy Tr phi^3 amplitudes in flat space. In this way, the hidden structure of Yang--Mills amplitudes becomes transparent.

In this talk, we will first review the scaffolding story in flat space. We will then move to AdS and introduce a method for extracting spin-1 operator amplitudes from scalar Mellin amplitudes using a spin-1 projection operator. After that, we will discuss the bootstrap of 3-point, 4-point, and higher-point spin-1 operator amplitudes. We find that, after introducing a new set of variables, the amplitudes take a form very similar to that in flat space. Furthermore, all of the spin-1 results can be generated from Feynman rules analogous to those for massive spin-1 fields in flat space.
